1. Peanut Butter Kisses Treats

This treat recipe takes everything your dog loves about peanut butter and adds some healthy components!


Materials:



  • Baking Sheet/Rack

  • Mixing Bowl 

  • Wooden Spoon

  • Cookie Shapes (Optional)

  • Your pup! (Not Optional)


Ingredients:



  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

  • 1/2 cup peanut butter

  • 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce

  • 1/4 cup ExcelK9 oil


Instructions:



  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to preheat at 350 degrees F

  2. Prepare Baking Sheet: Spray baking sheet with non-stick spray or parchment paper. I personally like PAM but everyone has their own go to! 

  3. Combined Ingredients: Combined the peanut butter, ExcelK9 oil and unsweetened applesauce together first until you get an even mixed consistency. Then add in flour while mixing until smooth.

  4. Roll into small balls, placing them 1/2 an inch apart on your cookie sheet. * To make this treat recipe even better- use fun shape cookie cutters! *

  5. Bake at 350 Degrees F For 25-30 minutes

2. Low Starch Horse Treats


Low Starch Horse Treats

This treat recipe is made specifically for horses that have a difficult relationship with sugars in their diet. Just because my horse suffers from cushings disease does NOT mean she doesn’t deserve her after ride cookies! 

Materials:

  • Baking Sheet/Rack
  • Mixing Bowl 
  • Wooden Spoon
  • Cookie Shapes (Optional)

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb bag of organic ground flaxseed
  • 2 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
  • 1/4 cup ExcelEQ or ExcelEQ ProElite Oil
  • 2 cups hot water

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to preheat at 350 degrees F
  2. Prepare Baking Sheet: Spray baking sheet with non-stick spray or parchment paper. I personally like PAM but everyone has their own go to! 
  3. Combined Ingredients: Combined dry ingredients first, then add oil, followed by applesauce and water. Be sure to mix well! 
  4. Roll into small balls, placing them 1/2 an inch apart on your cookie sheet. * To make this treat recipe even better- use fun shape cookie cutters! *
  5. Bake at 350 Degrees F For 60-75 minutes
