Rachel Kennedy: Top English Rider, Coach and Judge

Rachel Kennedy's journey in the equestrian world began at the age of three, training at Jack Trainor’s Here and There Farm near Philadelphia. As a junior rider, Rachel showcased her talent by riding for esteemed professionals like Rodney Jenkins, Ray Francis, and Gerry Goldman. Her dedication and skill led to seven AHSA Horse of the Year Titles and numerous State Titles. In 1995, Rachel established her own business, ESP Farm, in Maryland.

Training and Show Success

Hunter and Jumper Championships Rachel Kennedy has an exceptional track record in the hunter and jumper disciplines. She has trained and shown numerous horses to championship titles on the USEF “AA” Circuit. Her frequent appearances at prestigious venues include:

  • Winter Equestrian Festival (WEF)
  • Capital Challenge
  • Devon Horse Show
  • Ocala Winter Festival
  • Washington International Horse Show
  • Upperville Colt & Horse Show
  • Vermont Summer Festival
  • Kentucky Horse Park
  • Fairfield

Rachel's accomplishments extend to winning multiple National and International Hunter Derbies. Her students have also represented the United States in FEI Nations Cup competitions and CSI 3* events in Lexington, KY.

Coaching Achievements 

Rachel's coaching prowess is evident through her students' successes, including Grand Prix wins at Devon, Upperville, and Lexington. She has trained riders to secure Team Gold and Silver at the FEI North American Young Rider Championships and coached teams to Gold and Individual Gold at the USHJA South Children’s/Adult Jumper Championships.

Judging Expertise

USEF Licensed Judge

In addition to her riding and coaching career, Rachel Kennedy has been a USEF Licensed Hunter and Equitation Judge since 1995. She judges major horse shows annually, including the prestigious 2016 ASPCA Maclay Championships.
