Pedro’s Personal Background: A Family-Oriented Athlete
Pedro Egurrola is not only a highly skilled team roper, but also a family man who values time spent with his wife Tatum, their daughter and son. Pedro’s strong and determined nature has helped him succeed both in and out of the arena. A graduate of Central Arizona College with a degree in agricultural business, Pedro also enjoys showing horses in addition to competing in rodeo events.
Pedro’s Rodeo Highlights
Pedro’s rodeo career is marked by remarkable achievements. In 2024, he teamed up with Cory Petska to secure wins at the Bozeman (Mont.) Stampede and the Eagle (Idaho) Rodeo. They also triumphed at the Dillon Jaycee PRCA Rodeo, Montana's Biggest Weekend, with Junior Nogueira, and co-championed the Daggett Heritage Rodeo in Manila, Wash., with Nogueira. These accomplishments highlight Pedro’s continued dominance in the sport.
Looking back at his career, Pedro has earned a reputation for consistency and excellence. In 2023, he and partner J.C. Flake won the Mountain States Circuit Finals in Loveland, Colo., the Westcliffe (Colo.) Stampede Rodeo, and the Bozeman (Mont.) Stampede, among other prestigious events. Pedro also co-championed the Dodge City (Kan.) Roundup Rodeo and won The Kingsman Andy Devine PRCA Rodeo with Max Kuttler. His success dates back to 2019, with significant earnings and top finishes in major rodeos.
2024: A Standout Year for Pedro
Pedro’s achievements in 2024 are a continuation of his excellence in the arena. Most recently, he and Michael Calmelat Jr. won the 2024 American Rodeo Contender Tournament West Region Finals, earning a spot in The American Contender Tournament Finals in Texas. This victory reflects Pedro’s skill, teamwork, and ability to excel under pressure.
